Winning the battle of our mind

Share

Have you ever thought about what controls your mind, thoughts, words, and actions? This morning as I woke up, it was what came to my mind. The question I asked myself this morning was: “Do I want to be led by the Spirit or led by the world?” The answer is obvious, but this is easier said than done if I forget to stay aware and with God’s help fight the daily fight the enemy wages over my mind and life.

Philippians 4:8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me–everything you heard…., Then the God of peace will be with you.

Is what and how I think…, true, honorable, right, and admirable?

By putting into practice this word of God, it says that God will not only be with me, but that I would have the chance to, #1 hear God’s voice, #2 be led by the Spirit, and #3 experience the presence and peace of God in my life.

Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Who or what leads you? I pray that God will speak to your heart and mind today and that you will hear his voice and receive a special word from him that will bless you.
