A Call to Spiritual Growth

Share

In Hebrews chapter 5 verse 11, Paul talks about a call to spiritual growth. He encourages us to stop only believing, but to put to action what we believe so through the power of the Holy Spirit, our lives would change. In every way, we are led in some way, by some thing…, so my thought today was, what leads us, the Spirit or the World?

We are all led by something so this question left me thinking about all the areas of my life and whether or not what’s leading me is self-serving or serving the LORD.

Here’s some scripture to reflect on and study.

Step up, be accountable, and realize your potential in Christ Jesus

Hebrews 6:1 – So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding

The blessing and reward for realizing that maturity

Hebrews 6:10-12 – For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

People, there is a lot here in Hebrews 6:10-12 that could apply to many. I pray for you to hunger to be closer to your Heavenly Father as he seeks to be closer to you. I pray that he speak to your heart and mind and that whatever word he puts in your heart, that you chase after that as you would lost money or treasure. My prayer for you is that you are tangibly blessed for your faithful persistence, trust, and obedience. Your time is coming, and your blessed reward is waiting…., may God bless you in a way that you know without a doubt it’s from him!
