For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NLT
This verse is widely considered the most famous or known scripture in the world today. What does it mean to you? What do you takeaway from it? What resonates?
I immediately think that Jesus (being sent to us) is the greatest gift. I believe this to be true, and my thought today is what preceded HIS sending; God’s unimaginable love for us! Besides Christ himself, could it be that love, God’s love for you and I, is the greatest gift of “all time”?
- If God is love and God loves us, do we receive it today? (Can you fathom it?)
- If God’s love for our world caused HIM to send and sacrifice his one and only Son for us, do we receive Jesus today? (Are you in relationship with The Father?)
- If we receive God’s love and his son Jesus, is our life changed? (Does simply knowing or believing mean we live a changed life?)
So today I petition that Love is the greatest gift of all time. And since “God is love.” 1 John 4:8, to know God is to know love. Do you know HIM? God is love and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” 1 John 4:16
Define today what is and isn’t love and let’s live our lives in a way that will be loving. But before we can give it, we must first receive it…, do you receive it today? Can we give away something we don’t have?
If you can this week.., give away the greatest gift of all time to those God puts in your path this week. Have a blessed week!
