Is the time near for the coming of the LORD?
Who’s to say for sure, but it sure seems like it. With COVID, political, social, and economic unrest, the situation in Israel and the potential for war between the US and China, it seems the world is changing and not for the better.
My biggest fear? Not being ready. I don’t want to be like the bridesmaids without oil in their lamps, missing out on the wedding feast. So what can we do to be prepared for the moment we know is coming, but not the exact time it will come?
Luke 21:36 Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.
Luke 12:35-37 Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning, as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks. The servants who are ready and waiting for his return will be rewarded.
Revelation 3:3 Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you do not wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.
I Corinthians 16:13-14 Be on guard. Stand firm in faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love.
Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
Romans 13:11 This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is: time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
No one can really say for sure, when Jesus is coming back to take his people home. I know this much, I don’t want to miss out because I didn’t prepare for our Messiah’s return.
“In Jesus’ name, I pray that we, those to him we belong, are making ourselves ready for the coming of our LORD and Savior. May God bless us and keep us. May HE go before us and make a way for us. May he open our eyes, our hearts, and our minds – so that we may have discernment like never before, and so that we can feel and sense the breath of God so strongly that we would assuredly know what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. For we are HIS people and he is our Father, LORD, and Savior! Amen!”
