After a little sabbatical from writing to clear my mind and get quiet enough to hear God’s voice in my life, this morning was the day to begin anew. When I woke up, it was on my mind to consider the difference between obedience and sacrifice. Here’s some thoughtful reflection for you…
Proverbs 21:3 The LORD is more pleased when we do what is right and just, than when we offer him sacrifices.
1 Samuel 15:22 Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
In praying and thinking about what this means in my own life; it’s simple. Instead of seeking God’s favor and love through offering him sacrifices throughout the week each month, he’d rather me be in communion with him in the form of a daily walk where I be led by the spirit (the Holy Spirit) than be led astray by the world.
At this time, I’m seeking a word from him in my life and the world is so loud and there are so many voices, how can I hear him? Jesus says in John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Do you hear him this morning? Do you need a word in your life at this time? Are you walking with the Father in Jesus’ name each day?
Life is fast, life gets busy.., let’s not give God the last and worst part of our lives – but let’s give HIM our very best. Let’s give God the first fruits of everything we make and possess and he will bless our situation(s)!
I hope this MountainTopper encourages and blesses you…
